Distractions

Sorry guys, I haven't updated like I thought I was going to. After taking a well deserved holiday over xmas, I've been thinking about work related things (including this site) as little as possible, and have been focusing a lot on home music recording. If I manage to fluke anything vaguely listenable, I'll be sure to post it up here.

A bit of patience and things will start to happen this year on Subcide.com :)

Contact Form Errors: Resolved

I've located the problem. HTML tags in the comment box throw an error. I'm working on a fix at the moment. For now, keep the emails plain text and they should work fine.

Recently the ammount of email I've been getting has dropped off significantly, and a few people have mentioned errors popping up when trying to submit from the talk section.

I've tested it myself, but I can't recreate the error, so if you could post more specific details of the error (error code maybe?) and what browser you are using etc... that would be helpful.

Thanks, I'll try to fix it as soon as possible.

Revisions and updates

It may seem as though the site has been somewhat neglected in the last month, but rest assured I've been working hard to address the issues that people have been emailing me over the last few months. The crowd from CSSbeauty.com are some of the most vocal people I've run into through the site, and many of them have a lot of good ideas for clarifying certain aspects of the CSS layout tutorial, as well as fixing my spelling and grammar.

Its roughly a year on since I wrote it, so I've set aside some time to revise the methods I was using a year ago, and re-publish it. Changes will most likely include full HTML/CSS files at the end of the tutorial, an expanded section on making your one page into a functioning site with multiple sections, a printable version, more screenshots, a UL based navigation instead of my dirty DL hack, and lots of clarifications.

I've got quite a lot on my plate at the moment, but the site is just starting to take off, so I've gotta make time for it. Thanks for your patience and your great feedback.

Multicultural realisations

I think most internet users take the multi-cultural nature of the web for granted. I think english language sites are probably worse for this than anyone. They very rarely link to sites of other languages, as too many english speakers are not bilingual. People stay in their own comfortable circles and ignore other languages and cultures.

Redesigned and Relaunched

Its been a long time coming, and here it is finally. The new and hopefully improved Subcide.com

My stats tell me that roughly 20% of you keep coming back, and this redesign is a) to thank you guys for coming back a second time, and b) to increase that percentage, by delivering new content on a regular basis.
